just out of nostalgia i’m reblogging this and also because my childhood existed 70% out of playing Pokemon but those who can remember the good old days with Gold (not that damn remake thingy) but seriously my first time i completed Gold version i was like” YEA suck on that Lance, so anyone else want to challenge the new badass champion? i dont thi- TRAINER RED wants to battle!” at that very moment my child brain got stuck “should i feel excited, or completely terrified” since he is like completely overpowered being nearly thrice as strong as the actual champion (Overpowered is an understatement )
and for some reason i always wondered why the Manga turned out to be so much more mature and surprising then that shitty anime version (and part of the game version) i mean seriously ingame your main bad guy is like “awww i got beaten by a kid… you know, i will just give up on my lifelong dream and leave to be never seen again” thats the kind of stuff you get to see ingame and in the series. In the manga at least after defeat or failing to accomplish their goals they go like “fuck this lets wreck and kill everyone”
its because of this bet we actually started to play again to see wich one is better, funny cause we always ended up arguing about it and eventually it never came as complaining about it and i guess for nostalgic reasons it finally got this far ^^
